Psychrometer

Relative humidity(U)
This is the partial pressure ratio between the prevailing water vapour pressure and the water vapour sturation pressure with reference to water and/or ice at the same total pressure and at the same temperature.
Relative humidity is a dimensionless parameter, it is a ratio and is specified in percent (%).[DIN 50010 Part 2]

Psychrometric measurement principle
Psychrometers are used to measure the air temperature difference - psychrometric temperature difference which arises if air flows past a thermometer whose sensors are equipped with a humid fabric sheathing as well as past a thermometer without fabric sheating. The temperature difference found is a measure of the state of humidity of the air. However, the relative humidity which can be calculated with the help of corresponding formulas always depends on the actual temperature as well as on the prevailing air pressure.
